Kearney, Nebraska, was the site of the 3rd Triennial Masonic Youth Conference during October 18-19, 2008. Members of Nebraska's youth organizations -- Job's Daughters, DeMolay and Rainbow -- met to develop leadership skills, have fun, and leave their mark on Kearney with a community service project. Saturday featured breakout sessions with Brady Beran who told his inspiring story of a football injury and how he is fighting back; Josh Shipp who toured with Bill Cosby and hosted a TV reality show led with humor and insight; and Matt Glowacki who inspired to use each of our unique gifts to the fullest. The day also involved purchasing food and stocking shelves at the Food Bank in Kearney with almost two tons of food and personal items. |
