Shriners Hospitals for Children-Twin Cities is part of a 22 hospital system that is dedicated to providing pediatric orthopedic specialty care for children up to the age of 18. Since the first hospital opened in 1922 Shriners Hospitals for Children have helped nearly one million children defy seemingly insurmountable difficulties, and discover they can do more than they ever believed possible. Care is provided in a family centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay.

Shriners Hospital for Children-Twin Cities is a 40 bed facility that combines quality medical care with innovativeShriners Hospitals for Children-Twin Cities opened in 1923 and was the 4th hospital out of the 22 to open. The hospital has always been located on the east side of the Mississippi River between Minneapolis and St. Paul, but the original building was torn down and rebuilt in 1990. Shriner’s  education and research. Every member of our staff from surgeons to therapists, nurses to orthotists, is focused on providing the highest quality care for the child and the family.

2011 Facts for the Twin Cities..7,775 clinic encounters..602 surgical operations

737 outreach clinic screenings..2,124 braces (orthopedic) made..

308 artificial limbs (prostheses) made..7,376 in-house x-ray exams performed

6,929 physical therapy treatments..3,666 occupational therapy treatments

We are currently working to have outreach clinic in Alliance, Sidney, North Platte, and Kearney, on June 11, 12, 13, 2012.
